Believe it or not, some of the best Muskie fishing in the state is right here in our backyard. The lakes in the western suburbs of Minneapolis are Muskie on the Fly's home waters, where much of our Muskie fishing is done. With such great fishing in close proximity to the Metro area, there is plenty of time to get in a "Twilight" trip after work or a half day on the weekend. These lakes fish well from Muskie opener in early June, through September. Last season we enjoyed phenomenal fishing in June, so book early if you can!

Dan and a healthy Mille Lacs fish In our opinion, Lake Mille Lacs, a two hour drive north of Minneapolis, remains one of the best Muskie fisheries on the planet. Casting big flies to these often visible fish is really a treat. If your interested in planning a trip, July, August and early September are great months to target.
 
The Mississippi and the Upper St Croix Rivers are arguably some of the best smallmouth fishing in the US. Drift these rivers with us in a Mackenzie style drift boat, truly an experience that will get you "hooked".

  · Day trips for Muskies begin early. Expect to be on the water by 7AM and finishing up at around 4 PM.
· Start times for half day trips vary and will be dictated by the clients schedule or what we believe to be the best time to be on the water.
· Our twilight trips are limited to weekdays and start at 5:30pm. Expect to fish until dark.
· Top of the line equipment will be available for all trips. Recommended rods would be 8, 9 and 10 weight outfits. Lines, leaders and tippets are species / conditions specific. If you don't have what you need we have outfits for all conditions.
 
  · Full Day of Fishing includes lunch, snacks and beverages, 1/2 day includes snacks and beverages.
· If there is anything that we can provide to make your trip that much more enjoyable, we would love to know.
· Transportation to and from a hotel can be arranged upon advanced notice.

* A Special Note about Muskie trips. Pricing for all our trips includes up to two people. However, in the interest of safety, only one caster can be accommodated at a time.

** Twilight river trips are offered on the Upper Mississippi only.

  
     
   
  A 50% deposit is required for all trips. The balance is due on the day of your outing. Deposits will be returned in full if cancellation is made within two weeks of your scheduled trip. We will notify you if weather or water conditions require cancellation or rescheduling of your trip. In such a case a full refund will be made if other arrangements cannot be made.
